The Chinese Cultural Foundation ("CCF") and the Boston First Capital, LLC co-sponsored an exclusive reception celebrating "An Evening of Contemporary Chinese Art" at the Elizabeth Wang Gallery, a perfect example of the constructive partnership between the businesss and culture communities.

As part of the Chinese Cultural Foundation's Educational Program, a special lecture was presented to the MBA students of the Long Island University, Brookville, New York Campus.

DIANA KAN - Medal of Honor for Lifetime Achievement

The Chinese Cultural Foundation proudly sponsored a special evening honoring a great Chinese artist Diana Kan for "Lifetime Achievement" at the National Arts Club in New York City.

Diana Kan was born in 1926 in Hong Kong. She studied with Chang Dai Chien, the master of Chinese brush painting. She is the author of several books and her works are in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Philadelphia Museum and the national Historical Museum of China. Diana Kan has been a bridge uniting East and West.

New York State Governor George Pataki referred to Diana Kan as "The First Lady of Chinese Art."



CHEN CHI (1912 - 2005)

MEMORIAL SERVICE AND EXHIBITION

The Chinese Cultural Foundation co-sponsored a private Memorial Service and Exhibition for the world renowned artist Chen Chi at the National Arts Club.

Chen Chi, who passed away at his home in Shanghai on August 4th at age 93, was one of China’s most important contemporary artists. He was honored throughout his life with collections and exhibitions at the world’s leading art institutions including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and the Palace of Versailles in Paris, France. President Jiang Zemin of China dedicated a Museum in his honor in Shanghai in 1999.

Aldon James, President of the National Arts Club hosted the sevice. Chinese Ambassador Zhang Yishan, CCF Trustees John W. Allen and Elizabeth B. Wang joined with Bailin Zheng, General Manager of Bank of China, USA; Sarah P.C. Wu Director of Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office New York; Henry S. Tang, Chairman of Committee of 100, and friends and families attended the Chen Chi Memorial Service and Exhibition.
